This inn suited our needs due to the fact that we flew into Chicago Midway and this inn was nearby and offered an airport shuttle. Unfortunately, our plane was delayed so we landed too late to use the hotel shuttle that evening, but we caught a taxi ($13 one way) which the inn very kindly reimbursed. The room was very small but it was fine for one night, as we were leaving the next morning. Although next to a busy road, the room was peaceful, clean, and comfortable. There is no restaurant (within walking distance) so unfortunately, we went to bed on room coffee and nuts which I had in my handbag. The inn offers a simple breakfast with pastries, cereal, juice, waffles, coffee, and some juice. There is parking available in front of each room which seemed reasonably safe.

I did not expect an actually working fitness room, this was a very nice plus. Personnel super friendly and coffee in the room! This was certainly the best part. If the location suits you, it is ultimately a take. Colleagues of mine in the same trip choose to stay in hotels downtown Chicago, and for a similar budget, they got horrible rooms. I purchased a Ventra card and commuted with the Orange line to the city center, saved money and got a better deal.

For the price and convenience, Carlton Inn is awesome! We left our car here while on vacation and were shuttled to the airport and picked up at the airport when our flight came in at 2 am! The staff was always friendly and we slept comfortably. The facilities aren't new and carpet was old and not affixed in some places, but the room had coffee, plenty of places to charge electronics and it was quiet. We will definitely stay here again.

1) The hotel is very close to a train station from which I reached the city centre within 15min. 2) The room is very quiet in spite of that the hotel is right next to a big road. 3) The room has desk and chair which are suitable for me to work for a few hours every evening. 4) The hotel has a washing machine and a tumble dryer which were very convenient for me as I stayed in the hotel for nearly one month.

I loved that there were gluten-free options at breakfast like potatoes, eggs, sausage, fruit, and yogurt. For that alone, we will 100% stay there again. Check-in and check out were nice and easy. The room was nice. The staff were friendly and polite.
